  • Thought I had gone to the local amateur dramatics production of Gypsy, but no it was a night at Volupte. Can’t dance, can’t sing, can’t entertain. The show was about as amusing as watching as watching a snail slime over a lettuce leaf. The best laugh was when part if the rickety stage collapsed. It was so unsexy that it would make a good Catholic contraceptive. The innuendos were not even worthy of a sexist 70’s sitcom. Arrived on, but the tables were not ready so guided into a highly expensive bar. The starters were the smallest I have ever seen and it was followed by plates of meat forcing you to buy overpriced side dishes. Deserts were fine. Service was perfunctory, we confused one of the waitresses by asking what time the show finished to be met with a don’t know. The drink and cocktail menu were overpriced. My advice is to be very drunk before going there or stay at home, rent a Carry On film and get a takeaway.

  • I went in a small group of four December 2012. At this price point the food is the worst I have ever had. Stale ingredients, badly cooked but mercifully mean portions. Ox Tongue cheeks were hard as rocks and most dishes were returned at least once. The cabaret was childish crude and amateurish. The service was at least friendly. The bill came to £280. We left poorer but wiser and the evening was a disaster. If you want to be mugged, go to Volupte.

  • A delightful little place!!! Great cocktails and it is so much fun to have your dinner with friends or the other half and watch this amazing burlesque!! Much recommended for a date or a night out with friends.

  • A little gem, hidden away in the heart of the city. Amazing atmosphere, great entertainment and the food and cocktails are pretty good as well!! Sure to return soon!

  • Volupte rocks. The food is as good as the acts so you don't have to compromise on this which I find in most cabaret places in London. It's tricky to find if you've had a few cocktails before getting there but worth it.
