Best of the year 2010: comedy in London
The funniest moments in London comedy as chosen by Tim Arthur
Bailey has made a stunning return to form with this superb show. His humour is sharper and more biting than it has been for a while. He lays into everything from celebrity culture to the debate between religion and evolutionary theory. There’s enough of his normal musical whimsy to keep his loyal fans happy but there’s also the intelligence, creativity and mastery of the form that only accompanies the work of a true maestro. Like a fine wine, Bailey is maturing very well indeed.
