Ellie White – Humans

Talented character comic Ellie White is an alumni of trendy comedy production company The Invisible Dot’s ‘New Wave’ strand. She just took her first solo effort, ‘Humans’, to the Edinburgh Fringe, and now she’s bringing the show to London. White’s a subtle performer. It’s the small traits of her characters that give them a strange believability. There’s Rebecca, the sole contestant in the Miss Haringey 2014 competition, who’s so nervous she barely speaks above a whisper. Aileen Gas is an over-confident motivational speaker who spout pompous life-advice. And there’s is a jittery, drunk mother who gives a embarrassing speech at an eighteenth birthday party. It’s all reliably good fun.
