There’s no doubt about it, the Comedy Store is the daddy of all comedy clubs, and what most other gigs strive to be. Seemingly as old as London itself, the club has been instrumental in the growth of alternative comedy, and still to this day hosts stunning shows most nights of the week. At weekends they host conservative stand-up shows, with circuit stalwarts performing their tried-and-tested sets. See 'dates and times' for the latest line-ups.

The Comedy Store never fails to bring much laughs to a Saturday night. We saw 4 great acts which had us laughing the whole night. The only downside is that drinks and food are slightly expensive so it may be worth having a few drinks somewhere else. However we were still lucky enough to have excellent seats and a really fun night. I will definitely be returning to the Comedy Store but making sure I eat somewhere else before hand.

Rude bouncers - we were a group of 50+ but the ticket holder was already inside so we were made to wait outside until she came outside but was not allowed to go in there to find her...? Once in which took a while, it was very dark and stuffy (i've been before so i expected it but i don't like it). Long queue for food (as we had prepurchased meal and drink vouchers). All food on offer was stodgy crap you would only want to order if you were incapacitated to make the right choices... Then the comedians, we only managed to sit through 1.5 of them because it was just smutty chat which was just crude and not at all funny. Actually the comedians looked like total miserable losers.  We walked out part way through the second sad dude... it was that bad! Don't waste your time or money!

Excellent club! Been there twice and had a blast! A great mixture of different comedians per night. Drinks are a quite expensive though... as well as food, very overpriced. So eat enough before you go!
