Classical ballet takes a decidedly dark turn in Darren Aronofsky’s
psychological thriller starring Natalie Portman as a prima ballerina on the
brink and Vincent Cassel as her domineering director.
Less about the art of dance and more about the friction between free will and fate, this George Nolfi thriller still features some excellent dance scenes courtesy of the newly trained Emily Blunt, who plays a contemporary ballet dancer in love with politician Matt Damon.
