The annual Dance Umbrella festival shows no sign of flagging, with a programme that's strong on international talent with a few homegrown gems thrown in. As well as a series showcasing African dance, highlights include Taiwan's dreamy Cloud Gate Dance Theatre (Oct 6-10), Dutch master JirÌ Kylián (Oct 30-31), Inbal Pinto and Avshallom Pollack from Israel (Oct 18-19) and Brooklyn-based Mark Morris Dance Group (Oct 27-31). Canadian Paul-Andre Fortier, who you may remember did a dance with an industrial digger last time round, performs in a variety of unlikely outdoor spaces from office blocks to car parks, and the festival climaxes with Brit bad boy Michael Clark's latest work, inspired by the music of Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Lou Reed (Oct 28 - Nov 7).
