After its successful run in the West End, feelgood hip hop fairytale 'Into the Hoods' gets a Christmas slot at the Southbank's Queen Elizabeth Hall. Choreographer Kate Prince breezily translates Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' into a tale of modern urban London, packed with energy, humour and poppy street dance routines. The young dancers from Prince's company ZooNation are slick movers and the cut 'n' paste soundtrack features Prince, Stevie Wonder, Kayne West and Massive Attack among others. You definitely don't have to be a hardcore hip hop head to enjoy it; 'Into the Hoods' is one of those shows where you won't be able to stop the grin spreading across your face.
