In 'Without Warning', choreographer Lizzi Kew Ross takes inspiration from Brian Keenan's memoir, 'An Evil Cradling', detailing his four and a half years spent as a hostage in Beirut. Kew Ross sets out to explore the cruelty, humour, despair, rage and resistance in Keenan's story, and how the mind and spirit stay afloat in such inhuman circumstances. The piece is performed in the atmospheric Old Vic Tunnels underneath Waterloo Station, by a cast of four dancers and four musicians.
