A major season of works by pioneering choreographer Pina Bausch. Part of the Cultural Olympiad, the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch: World Cities 2012 season will see ten works performed over one month, each produced during a residency in a different city in the world between the years 1986 and 2009 - the year of Bausch's death. 'Der Fensterputzer', meaning 'The Window Washer', is from 1997 and was created in Hong Kong. it features the kind of bold, visual wonderfulness that typifies Bausch's work, in this case in the shape of a 20-foot high hill of red silk flowers on the stage.
