  • Aerial dance. Simplicity is always best, cut away unnecessary detail and ambiguity: so says Ockham's Razor, a principle attributed to mediaeval philosopher William of Ockham. True to this maxim, four young aerialists – Charlotte Mooney, Alex Harvey, Tina Koch and Sandro Spanu –cut straight to the point in the way they concoct visual theatre. Their latest work, 'Arc', sets three people adrift at sea. Their raft is too small and someone has to go – a crisis that reveals the best and worst of human behaviour. 'Arc' shares the bill with the quiet 'Momento Mori', an intimate duet based on Holbein's 'Dance of Death' woodcuts. (It won a Jeunes Talents Cirque award at its premiere in Paris in 2004.) The evening ends with the light-hearted 'Every Action...'
