  • The South Bank Holiday Dance Weekend has music from top dance bands spanning a wide range of styles and cultural influences interspersed with short dance shows, classes and ballroom DJs, as well as two evening extravaganzas.     English ceilidh Hekety, folk band with caller. 1pm.

    Tea dance Shelley Van Loen and the Palm Court Strings. 3.30pm.

    Gypsy dance Mukka, Romanian blues. 6pm.

    Is It Me? Fullstop Acrobatic Theatre in ‘Is It Me’, a performance thatcombines acrobatics and contact dance. It traces the downward spiral of a relationship, from blissful romance to distrust and uncertainty. 2.30pm, 5.30pm.

    Latin class Learn some steps. 3pm.

    Latin DJ set 4pm.

    Belly Dance with music from the Takalid drummers. 6pm.

    Samba sunset Viramundo, energeticand sensual Brazilian dance. 8.30pm.

    Latin Music from Mas y Mas. Afro-Cuban rhythms from this acoustic power trio with hints of flamenco. 1pm.

    Tea Dance Music from Shelley Van Loen and the Palm Court Strings. 3pm.

    Salsa With vocalist Osvaldo Chacon playing classic Cuban salsa fused with funk jazz, rap reggae and soca. Dancers Lazaro and Paula Lopez will get you moving. 5pm.
