Now firmly in their brand spanking new home on the Southbank, Rambert Dance Company are returning to Sadler's Wells this year with something of an ABC. The bill is made up of pieces by Richard Alston, Christopher Bruce, Lucinda Childs and Merce Cunningham. See? If the ABC is a little flimsy, rest assured the choreography won't be. Bruce's 'Rooster' is being revived from the company's repertoire, which will excite Rambert fans and should hopefully open up new audiences to the power of Bruce's work. American post-modern choreographer Childs revives 'Four Elements' which she created for the company back in 1990; Cunningham's 'Soundance' looks at the minutiae of life and Alston's 'Dutiful Ducks' should also be a treat.
