London's venerable hymn to the wonders of dance is back. For nine, feet-pounding, hip-swaying days the city will become a sea of writhing bodies as Londoners across the capital get involved in the hundreds of free events, workshops, classes, performances, open rehearsals, screenings and exhibitions taking place. www.thebigdance2008.co.uk will tell you everything you need to know.
Highlights include tango classes for commuters, a new work by Shobana Jeyasignh performed by dance students on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral and the festival climax – the world's largest dance, with 2008 people performing a new work from choreographer Aletta Collins.
