New York-based Chinese dance company Shen Yun returns to London with another spectacle of traditional dance and music. It's a bit like an Olympic opening ceremony – beautiful colourful costumes, displays of acrobatic skill and ancient art, and lots of grand, unison ensemble routines.

Terrible show. In fact it could be seen in any two bit tourist theatre in mainland China (apart from the blazing Tiananmen square obviously). Could pass as a mediocre show in a small local theatre, except for the forcefull, bizzare missionising Falun Dafa members who accost you during the interval. If they want to make money for their cause fine, if they want to protest and missionise and push the Epoch Times on you that is fine too. But this should be explicit in the advertising, which is utterly false. At £50 plus for tickets you expect something decent. Don't know what the Barbican was thinking!

I watch the Shen Yun at the Barbican Centre on 7th March and I found the performance ordinary and not worth the money I spent on. You will not miss anything so don't go!
