Arthur Pita's dance theatre piece 'The Metamorphosis', based on the Kafka tale, returns to the stage after winning a South Bank Sky Arts Award and an Olivier Award for its leading man Edward Watson. The shape-shifting Watson is outstanding in the role of Gregor Samsa, morphing his body into some startlingly unhuman forms as Samsa the mild-mannered salesman finds himself transforming into a giant insect. It's an inventive, absorbing piece of theatre from director Pita, but Watson is the reason to go.
