  • Arrived without booking at 8.00 p.m. on a Friday evening. Restaurant was busy but staff found us a table for a two explaining clearly in advance that the table would only be free until 9.15 a.m. Excellent mozarella and salami pizza - just the right combination of crispy edge and well-filled middle. Value for money and vibrant atmosphere. Service fine. Would definitely go again

  • Completely out of order! And I explain why 1) Our table was booked for 9.15pm. At 9.05pm we arrived & waited outside. I went in to tell the manager that we had arrived, not expecting to come in, just to say. I was greeted with a "you have to wait" immediately & without a polite attempt of a welcome 2) After having juggled among 4 restaurants to find a good Naepolitan pizza for a night out among work colleagues, we went to Santo Re as they were the only ones delivering pizza al metro (by the metre). Imagine how we felt when the waiter told us this was finished for the night. So I explained the latter to him, and he then brought the chef who reiterated the same. I insisted that is why we chose Santo Re and after a word with the manager, suddenly we could order pizza up to 3metres. Where we at the circus or a pizzeria may I ask? 3) When it was time to pay, the bill was brought to us at a flash without us having the time to ask to divide it into 3 bills (since we were 3 big tables, and it would have been easier to pay that way, & faster (since both us and the waiter wanted to finish the night). Nevertheless, as we started calculating to pay, the waiter kept overlooking until one of us (Naeopolitan himself) sent him off with a half-joke! 4) We had paid a deposit for each person attending to secure our table. Strangely enough, when the bill arrived, this deposit was not levied off. So when I remarked it, the waiter said he knew nothing of the sort. 5) As one of us had his birthday, the manager had promised that since we were a group of 15 people, he would throw a small cake for the birthday guy! So imagine my surprise when I saw this in the bill. And to insult to injury AND THIS IS WHY I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW when I went to ask the manager to remove it, he answered me that we should be thankful for having been accommodated on a Friday night! What the hell? Who the hell do they think they are? Having chosen Santo Re on the basis of having before visited as a couple, I have not one word to say against their food, Actually it is quite good! However I can see that they are well untailored to provide service to large groups, and due to their impoliteness, they have lost me forever! After all they are not the only authentic Naepolitan restaurant in London!

  • The manager, who was testy from the start, decided to accuse our children in a loud voice in front of other diners of messing up the lavatories. They had done nothing of the sort. He had not seen them do it. He refused to discuss his allegations or apologise. We left without eating so we have no idea whether the food in this high street pizzeria is in any way distinguished.

  • My husband and I just had a spur of the moment lunch at Santoré, Exmouth Market. We sat outside and enjoyed the 2x course lunch special for £9.95 each. This was fantastic value. We enjoyed Napoli bruschetta, generous antipasto for starters and terrific penne arribiata and tagliatelle ragu. Have sometimes found the service patchy but today it was perfect. Of particular note was the sole female waitress. Grazie!

  • The best pizza I have had in a long time! I went last night for my boyfriends birthday and the service that we all revived was also one of the best I have had in a long time, all the staff I met that night were Italian and constantly smiling, they checked if were were OK at exactly the right points and the second we looked around to ask a Q they were there (they even brought a free birthday cake out at the end of the night) The pizza was delicious and as it was my boyfriends birthday he ordered one of the larger pizzas, and when I say Large its close to American manVfood size, these are recommended to share per table and you can have three types of pizza in one. I would defiantly ignore any bad reviews and recommend you to go... if you go as a group try the large sharing pizzas!

  • Really bad pizza. The underneath was properly burnt (i.e. black and bitter, acrid), the dough was overly salted and the one I had - a Funghi - whereby the mushrooms are supposed to be a main feature - were rubbery and from a tin. A shame, Timeout reviews had looked promising, but this particular visit served only as a lesson in how not to make good pizza.

  • As Italian I can say that Santore is the only original Italian pizza in London. This review is crazy! The reviewer is not able to understand what is a pizza and what is an english fake of a pizza. When I read: ... "loppy wet tomato sauce topped with almost tasteless cheese and poor-quality pepperon"....I think that the the person who write it, is rating the pizza with an english taste...Tastelees cheese is delicious Originial mozzarella, that top the pizza. You should know that cheese on pizza is disgusting. Pizza has to have gentle taste with mozzarella (not cheese), and delicate fresh tomatoes, or light sauce. The reviewer maybe like strong taste, but then it would have been better to go to eat to fake italian pizzeria... you can find everywehere in london...Except Santore, of course.

  • Santorè is absolutely amazing and the pizza is just fabulous. This is exactly the kind of pizzeria you would regularly go in modern Italy. Easy, welcoming, not pretencious, not kitsch. And again... the pizza is fabulous and the service is friendly and genuine. An authentic modern Italian choice!

  • Please write correctly: "quattro stagioni" (double "t", only one "g"). In UK nobody answer me if I am asking something with the wrong accent: why you have not to write with correct spelling?
