People's Supermarket
Bloomsbury

After going head-to-head with Tesco in a bidding war for the site in 2010, Bloomsbury locals triumphed and run the supermarket themselves, selling fresh affordable food. This brilliant co-operative concept was founded by chef Arthur Potts-Dawson and Kate Wickes-Bull and, in 2011, plans were drawn up to open another branch in Hackney.

completely heart warming concept that also offers up moorish breads from North London bakery Flourish, dazzling fresh produce including their famous little curly cucumbers in the summer!, free range meat & a range of hot & cold dishes that change daily & are available to take away from their kitchen...brings sunshine to my life :-)
