Famous for its low rates, the Hoxton deserves credit for many other things. First, there’s the hip Shoreditch location – hip enough for Soho House to have taken over the downstairs bar-brasserie a few years ago.
Then there are the great design values. Finally, the rooms are well thought out, if mostly rather small, with lots of nice touches – free fresh milk in the fridges, a cold snack for breakfast, free Wi-Fi. Nowadays, there are even some individually designed suites – at the same price as the other rooms, but first-come, first-served.
The downside? Popularity. If you don’t book well in advance and plan to visit during the week rather than at the weekend, you could pay as much as at one of the big chains. A major refurbishment has opened out the original bar and added another, as well as putting red leather booths in the lobby; a new coffee bar is on the way. And the Hoxton finally has a sibling: the Hoxton Holborn.

Really enjoyed working here the other day. With free wifi and a great atmosphere, it's a great place to meet people, socialise and get work done. I've been to a few exercise events, Benefit workshops and sample sales here as well and I think it has the best of everything. Definitely want to stay here at some point too!! :)
Only best rooms fairly small as is usual in London but really nice decor etc;

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend recently and now wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in London! Cracking hotel - rooms fairly small as is usual in London but really nice decor etc; staff really friendly and helpful; bar and restaurant very cool with a great, laid-back vibe going on. We loved the location as it is easy to travel to the City (less than 5 min walk to tube) and is also within easy walking distance of a plethora of great bars and restaurants, as well as exciting boutique / vintage shopping opportunities. Can't wait to go again!
