Try Bliss London for exceptional facials ( triple o2 is my fav) and massage ..the paraffin wax treatment included in massage is superb !!

York Hall Leisure Centre, Old Ford Road, London, E2 9PJ
Until 2007 when Spa London opened in Bethnal Green, there was no such thing as an affordable day spa in the capital. A second branch has now opened at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre with a long, good-value treatment menu. Still, for a complete spa day package you're best sticking to this East End original where facilities include steam rooms, Turkish hamam and plunge pools. Treatments range from an Escape in the City Salt Scrub (a 25-minute cleansing that should remove all trace of London grime) to the spa's signature Gym & Tonic in which your body is cleansed, body brushed and exfoliated, before being treated to an aromatherapy massage and warm marine mask. Indulgence without the price-tag. Read more
Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9HW
Our last experience of Thai massage wasn't great – it was in a Bangkok backstreet and involved a person of ambiguous gender wrenching at our limbs. Thankfully, our tester's treatment at the Thai Square Spa involved no bone wrangling, and was an intensely relaxing experience, with cups of jasmine tea provided by the beaming staff. We experienced the Golden Maharani facial, a treatment traditionally reserved for the Thai royal bridal party, and great value in its combination of mini treatments. The spa is very inviting, with lotus flowers and golden Buddhas aplenty – apt, as we left our treatment in a calm, meditative state. Read more
The Porchester Spa, The Porchester Centre, Queensway, W1
The Porchester Spa, located in a spectacular 1929 building, is one of London’s more authentic spa experiences – benefiting from a new ventilation system, a re-tiled steam room and a bigger sauna since its refurbishment in 2006. But don’t expect the fluffy-white-towel and ambient-music experience. This is the spa to come to if you like pools (they have a proper swimming pool, plus a plunge pool for cooling off after a stint in one of the three Turkish hot rooms). People come here for no-nonsense treatments (like the Hot Towels Treatment, £30, for 30 minutes) at affordable prices, including wraps, facials and massages. Read more
I would like to treat myself to a spa and massage experience (never been to either). Can anyone recommend any great places that are also reasonably priced. Oh and if there are any must try activities there. Thank you.
Has O SPA gone into administration??? As far as I can tell, only the Canary Wharf and Cannon Street branches are still open, I went onto their website and it said the Austin Reed brach was open but it's in fact closed. I can't get hold of anyone, I have vouchers I am getting refunds on from GROUPON but they have no idea is OSPA is going into administration, no one can get hold of them, etc.
I bought a massage for my husband at the Chiswick Wellness spa. He was uncomfortable throughout his treatment as the head rest was too small. The claim that they are standard size, but he never has had a problem in other spas. His head is not an unusual size. Also, the spa boasts about a relaxation room. They never offered nor mentioned it to him. "NO FRILLS!" is the truth! I complained to the customer service manager who said she was looking into it. I still have not heard back. I guess t
Zen Life in high street kensington is a new spa offering out calls, their fusion massage is unrivalled in my experience. www.zenlife.co.uk
rios in Kentish town is good as well but everyone has their clothes completely off in that place and showers are mixed so men and women have showers together. it's one of those nature things.
Does anyone know the telephone number for Bliss spa in Covent Garden - paid for a fish pedi there for two on a deal and there is nothing on their web page to let you book anything, and cant find a phone number anywhere! Have I been duped?
I'm looking for a lesbian spa/sauna to take my fiance who is transgender and looks male. I would be grateful for any helpfull suggestions Many thanks MM
Hiyaa... I was wondering if anyone knew if there are any spas or beauty salons in london that take on students who are looking for work experience? - Im on level2 Beauty Therapy Please let me know, much appreciated :)

Been to the bliss spa - had a great time, loved the sex and the city o the tv screens - means you don't have to worry about making small talk! had a lovely manicure with some hot almond milk cream...it felt so nice :-)
Hi, I would like to offer a 6 months or 1 year subscription for my wife who is pregnant. Best would be around Euston square. Any idea ? Many thanks
How could you miss one of the best?! Savana Spa? They feature Eminence skin care products which are simply the best. Facials from Savana are heaven.
Hi, I'm planning a hen do for next summer and was considering doing a spa day. Has anyone got any recommendations of somewhere nice (but affordable!) that would cater for maybe 10-15 people? Thanks! Lucy
in reply to gc on 09 Sep 2010 18:32 re: lastminute.com deal, I have been having exactly the same trouble! 2 different phone numbers and no luck - have to book it for a certain day for a bridesmaids day out pre-wedding and now is getting close if anyone has an alternative number for O Spa than the ones I have tried would really appreciate some help - thanks!
Has anybody tired this place called Ajala spa in The Grange St. Paul's Hotel. I went there and had oxygen facials it was amazing. My skin felt plump and so fresh jst after the facial and it was worth the money. the spa is so beautiful and staff are lovely. Next time am there am gonna try the chocolate oxygen facial.
O Spa London in Canary Wharf is wonderful. The place looks great and the staff are good therapists. They get booked in advance. I work in Canary Wharf and this is my regular. It has to be one of the best London Day Spa's in the top 20 list next time. If you work in canary Wharf I would highly recommend it - especially the oxyjen facial.
For a special birthday, my husband booked a massage and facial for me and my daughter at the Jurlique Health & Wellness Spa in Chswick High Road. It was quite a way from where we live, but it was well worth travelling the distance. The small spa centre and treatment rooms were clean and inviting, with a very soothing ambiance. The massage and facial were the best I have ever had. We both came out feeling rejuvenated and thoroughly relaxed.
I went to O Spa in New Bond Street and had a 90 minute treatment with 3 different therapies. After having to wait 5 weeks to even get an appointment (in any of the branches) I can now see why they are so full and it was worth the wait. I wanted to book at Canary Wharf but was told that branch was not included in the promotion so read the small print. I had been looking forwards to my pampering session and cannot say that I was dissapointed! I have never experienced different massage techniques and my therapist Sarah was lovely. After a hard week at work it was the perfect end to the week and start to the weekend. I wish I could go every week!
I recently had my hair cut and highlighted at O Spa Bond Street. I had really high hopes but sadly I am now in a position where I have to wear it clipped back until it grows. The very arrogant stylist didn't listen to a word I said and when I showed him where my side parting is, he brushed my hair into a middle parting and cut it that way. I have an uneven fringe effort on one side that looks ridiculous and was not what we discussed at all! Adding to the disasterous styling, I also have patchy highlights! I would avoid getting your hair done here at all costs!
I recently moved to london - the O Spa on Regent Street is really great. I got an amazing offer through dealromeo.co.uk recently which got me shampoo, cut and blowdry, Balinese head massage, and colour, highlights, facial for £29 - was so good!!!!
hello, I'm looking for a spa in London (pos central) for a few friends to celebrate my 40th. I would like to treat them all so want somewhere resonalbe but with a bit of luxury. I have been to the santuary and really liked this but would like to try somewhere new. A pool is a must.Thank you Katie
Nathalie, the best one I know of in the area is Sabai Leela. It's a few tube stops south west to Earl's court but well worth the trip. Simply fantastic.
If you are a bit strapped for cash at the moment but still want to treat your mum then you could always try the London College of Beauty Therapy's salon on Great Marlborough Street. As it is a student salon they have some ridiculously cheap treatments! Facials and Massages are particularly good and fab value for money too!
This spa and its facials really are fabulous. I am a regular client, living just round the corner in Ladbroke Grove the location is convenient so I often pop in before an important event. One of my favourite facials is the “Japanese Facial Lifting, which involves a white clay mask to begin with, followed by a sequence of Japanese acupressure, reflexology and lymphatic drainage and then finally a rosehip mask. This facial is brilliant to anyone wanting to boost or enhance their skin before an important event, as its gentle and leaves the skin feeling refreshed and plumped up. Highly recommended!
I reply to qins post, i totally agree! A couple of weeks ago I went for a colonic irrigation at Hydrohealing, or a "Colonic Hydrotherapy" as its called at the spa (much more user friendly sounding!). This was my first ever colonic and I was nervous to say the least! But after hearing about the endless benefits this procedure entails (brighter skin, weight loss, better digestion..etc) I decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. I was instantly put at ease by the staff (I think they could sense how nervous I was) they explained the procedure, (for those of you who don’t know about the horrors of this procedure it involves warm purified water being gently introduced into the colon (large intestine) through a small tube in the back passage.. and u can guess the rest) Sounds horrific...but I was surprisingly comfortable throughout the procedure! I instantly felt a stone lighter afterwards! I walked out from the spa feeling like a fresh new me! cleansed and revitalized ! I would highly recommend this treatment for anyone looking to give their new years diet a boost after a heavy Xmas period! Your body will definitely thank you for it!
I’m usually far too lazy to write reviews but after visiting Hydrohealing last week. I’ve decided this place is definitely worth a mention to everyone! After reading about the hydrodermabrasion facial treatment in various magazines lately, I decided to check it out for myself and see what all the fuss is about. Having sensitive skin I was apprehensive at first that I might walk out looking like a tomato but let me tell u.. the results were absolutely AMAZING! My skin hasn’t felt this smooth or looked this radiant in ages! Definitely worth a visit guys!
I have always had a great experience at Sabai Leela. It's a Thai spa that from my search give an professional and authentic massage. I haven't tried the beauty services but other customers seem very happy.
right what i want to do for my mothers christmas, ive been thinking away from the usuall presents like jewellery an perfume and thought, as she works alot and doesn't get much time for pampering what id do was get my mum a lovely spa treament for christmas, where she can go relax and get pampered i.e massages, facial and pedicure and maybe stay over the night but im on a budget of maybe £150 is there anybody out there that might know of somewhere that can help me with my lovely gesture?
i went to east river spa the staff where lovely i had a problem and required the manager but she was very dismissive and was arrogant
Hi all, I hope everyone is having a great fall. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a couple's massage. He lives in London and I live in Canada so I really need help with this because I'm not from there so I don't know any of the spas. Where can you suggest?
I went to the Porchester Spa in Queensway last week with a girlfriend of mine and had a fab time. It was the first time we-d been and the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was well looked after but the best thing was the steam, the best I've experienced. Will definitely be spending some time there in the winter months ahead!
hi, I have just moved 2 Isleworth in Middlesex and am looking 2 work in a health spa as i already have 3 years experience. i wuld be really greatful if someone could inform me of some good local spas that i could try. Thanks
I was just reading through these spas and my favourite wasn't up there either! Return to Glory is absolutely amazing because I dont even have to leave the house; a professional specialist comes to me and brings with her the whole spa experience. I really like the fact that it is all so simply priced aswell. Its just so nice to finish up your massage or facial and be in the comfort of your own home. I have used them again and again and they have never failed to amaze me! x
If you want to treat someone I would suggest The Dorchester. It's just had a re-vamp and although its more expensive than all the others its worth it for a treat.
Hi, just wondering, there has been a lot of reviews of bad places but it is my mums b'day coming up and I wanna take her up 2 london to get a pedicure and massage. So where is the best place 2 go?
After reading the article on London's 20 best spas I was so surprised to see my fav wasnt listed! for a great day spa experience and excellent massages, Hydrohealing in Notting hill is fantastic. I went for my first massage there a few months ago and it was so good, I have since been back a few times for facials and other body treats (anti-cellulite ones are great!). i recommend giving it a try :)
Hi Stephen, just wanted to say thankyou for your help!! I have contacted Begbies Traynor, they have suggested I contact my credit card company and claim from them. Otherwise I get added to the list of unsecured creditors.(for anyone else out there!) Thanks again Chris
There is every chance that I am going to out Bond St office in an hour or so. Wholeman is opposite, so if I go I will let you know.
Arrggh...wanted to use my voucher I got for Christmas....does anyone know who the Administrator is ??? many thanks
I only know as I drove past the store on Bond Street last week and remembered seeing your post. If I go past there this week, I will read the sign and see what it says. You might be able to try and cliam through the administrators.
