The London Orchard Project will be hosting one event on October 16 in Peckham, and two more on October 22 and 23 near King’s Cross. At both events you can expect jam workshops, talks on bees and harvest-themed fun. There will be groups harvesting fruit in the mornings, workshops on looking after fruit trees, Camra-run cider tastings and preserving demonstrations.
On October 16 this community farm will be celebrating Apple Day with apple tastings, a ‘longest apple peel’ competition, apple-pressing demos plus cakes and chutneys.
The Maiden Lane Community Centre in Camden gets local residents involved in nature management on the estate. Apple Day is October 22.
Based in Welling, Kent, the Woodlands Farm Trust is hosting Apple Day on October 23. There will be live music, honey and apple tastings, apple pressing and produce.
