Things to do on New Year's Day in London

Find out which museums, galleries and attractions are open on January 1 2012

London is the city that never sleeps in, if the large number of museums open on New Year's Day is anything to go by. It's business as usual for most of the big venues, so peel yourself out of bed and start your cultural year as you mean to go on. Note that some attractions have reduced opening hours, so be sure to check details in advance.

  • Natural History Museum
