F3GC in conjunction with the horsedrawn camp and others are organising a one off all-day and all-nighter benefit festival for wrongly convicted prisoner -Gary Critchley (see http://garycritchleyart.co.uk or the Gary Critchley justice project on facebook). Bands playing are The Cracked Actors, Nuke Enroute, Fuzz on mate, Trenchfoot U.K., The Hedgerow Crawlers, Sledge’Ammer and others. There will also be massage tents, cider tents, Holistic Therapies, Art Exhibiton, Craft tent, Carribean Cooking, veg and vegan food, free ca mping and parking facilities…etc. Tickets are for sale either from http://garycritchleyart.co.uk, or on the gates for £10. Come along for a really good bash and to raise funds and awareness for a good cause. Sorry… forgot the most important details…the date is from the30th-31st of July and it is being held at Stoke Prior, Redditch, Worcestershire. B60.

There's a host of free events and activities for all the family taking place on the next two Saturdays in May, 21st & 28th, between 10am and 10pm.



On 21st May there's two popular music concerts from 10.30am until 2pm and Ballroom and Latin Dancing from 11am to 2pm, For kids there's a half-hour Film, The Red Balloon from 1.30 - 4pm and Exploring Art sessions from 3- 6pm.

There's a Greenspaces & Footways continous slide presentation from 2 - 4.30pm with 300 magical outdoor places in the area shown, undiscovered, but close at hand.

There's more music by students on the 'open piano' at 4pm.

There's no charge for any of these activities, 'though you can make a donation, if you wish, to Diabetes UK.

In the evening there's a classical concert for two grand piano's including Mozart, Debussy, Gershwin(Porgy & Bess), Bach, and more by the famous pianists, Kathleen Gilbert and Roger Cutts. That's only £9, £6 concessions.



On 28th May there’s more free activities for everyone.

12 – 2pm, there’s Jazz in the Concourse with singers and Jenny Carr on the piano.

They’ll be another Greenspaces slide presentation from 2pm in the afternoon and at 3pm the Greenacre Bicycle Rally will arrive for a Grand Parade in the Parking area..

Kofie Karikari is doing a Percussion Workshop from 3.30pm in the large hall.

The Concert for Japan will start at 6.30pm in Trinity church with popular, classical, steel band, jazz and more. That’s just £5, £3 concessions with this money going for school instruments lost in the Tsunami.



The Finchley Art Society has over 130 paintings on display plus more brilliant paintings from local schools, 9am to 10pm until 29th May and there is an interactdive exhibit, the Time Machine, where Father Time gives you just 3 minutes to surprise yourself with your own talents.
