CB I Hate Perfume
Before training as a perfumier at Kiehl’s, Christopher Brosius was a
taxi driver whose delicate sense of smell was offended by the
mass-market fragrances worn by his fares. This parlour in Williamsburg
is Brosius’ antidote to ubiquitous cosmetics-counter perfumes. Choose
between nostalgia-inducing natural fragrances such as ‘chocolate chip
cookie’ and ‘snow’, or make an appointment with the ‘artist’ himself.
Bronsius will discuss your favourite memories, smells and sensations
with you, then mix up a totally bespoke fragrance.
CB I Hate Perfume, 93 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn (+1 718 384 6890) Subway: L to Bedford Avenue. Open Tue-Sat 12noon-6pm.
