I used my TaseLondon card for the first time last week with my hubby and a few friends, unbelievably saving over £150 accross the dinig party of 4 at Artisan in the the Westbury. I really can't recommend TasteLondon enough, I have certainly got the bug and can't wait to use it again asap.
I would really recommend Green Chilli in Hammersmith to everybody who has a tastelondon card (or even ones without)!!! The food is out of this world. And it's 50% off for groups, we dined as a table of 6 and saved a fortune - a real gem of a restaurant for curry lovers.
I can't be certain but I'm guessing the below comment isn't genuine at all!!!!!
I've been a member of tastelondon for 2 years. They have 500 restaurants on and you get a directory of restaurants with the scheme. I've looked at this Treat Card and they have about 80 restaurants on and from what I can see they are things like 15% off - why not just use toptable if you're going to opt for that and save £50? At least with tastelondon they are all half price offers not some badged up costly version of a free to use website.

I had a look at both Taste London and Treat Card. Both are similar but I opted for Treat because of the 2 for 1 tickets at Jongleurs comedy clubs and some of their "lifestyle offers". They seem to have most of the restaurants that Taste have. So far in the last months I have used my card 4 times and saved a total of £190!
I bought a card last year, if you make a real effort to use it often the savings over the year really are quite staggering when you work it out.
It's worth paying the money for such an extensive range of restaurants that (unbelievably) offer 50% off.
I would deffo recommend!
This scheme really is good, what a great concept. Went to Bacchus last week and saved £105 with my tastelondon card - when I signed up I was expecting it to be too good to be true, but so far I am more than satisied.
The only problem with the TT 1/2 Price deals is that you seem to always be presented with a special menu (I am guesing the portions are smaller too). With taste you can order from the full menu. Also 50% deals are not often avaiable through TT on a weekend also.
And the choice is very small in comparison to tastelondon.
I personally think they are both really great ways to dine in London and I often use both, so I don't think it's a case of 'one or the other'.
I'm a real advocate of tastelondon, they are a really 'nice company' to deal with too.
Having looked at places on offer in my area, most do not seem to offer the reduction on Fridays/Saturdays which is when I go out and when friends come to visit. Think I will stick with TT and its 2 hour turnaround.
This card rocks! I would really recommend it as you can save lot's of money!
I'm an avid user of toptable, like previous person, but there are reasons for using both. Toptable is good and free, but if you dine out a lot then you'll find they only normally have 20-30 decent offers, and they're the same restaurants all the time. Also, I went to Mango Tree and was told I'd have to vacate my table by 7, so that was a waste of time. tastelondon has 500 restaurants on, and the offers are all 50% or 2-4-1, and as far as Ive experienced they only exclude Fri and Sat nights. I'd say buy a card (through Time Out, then you get a free guide) but only if you go out fairly regularly (maybe once a month).
Why not use toptable where you can get special offers free? I know there are more offers available with the card but can't see that I personally would save much - it needs a bigger selection of restaurants in order to get me to pay £50.00 I'm affaid.
I will keep tabs on this to see if the selection improves, it is a good idea though!
BOUGHT ONE ON WEDS FOLLOWING TIME OUT E-MAIL, RECEIVED IT YESTERDAY AND WENT TO BAM-BOU. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC - BOTH THE RESTAURANT AND THE SAVING. ORDERED WHAT I WANTED FROM THE MENU, DIDN'T HAVE TO VACATE MY TABLE BY A GIVEN TIME, AND SAVED COST OF MEMBERSHIP. STILL WAITING FOR GUIDE TO ARRIVE THOUGH.
We visited Slug and Lettuce Canary Wharf after a business meeting at Canada square, there were 7 of us altogether and I as usual, footed the bill!
This is the very first time I have used my TasteLondon card since purchasing it last week through this website, and I must admit I was very very impressed (as were the people who i dined with)
The bill came to just over £120 (of which approx £30 of that was drink) with the 50% discount that I recieved with the card the bill came in at a touch over £75 - meaning a saving of around £45.
I would like to congratulate TasteLondon on a fantastic idea/product - I have used other sites in the past (toptable etc) and this (although there is an initial outlay) is head and shoulders above anything else.
I really am completely impressed, I just wished I had discovered this earlier!
Keep up the good work TasteLondon.
after having my friend 'bang on' about how great this diners club thingy is for the past 6 months I have just bitten the bullet and bought one lets see if its worth paying the extra money above toptable.Does look good though. looooaaads of decent places yummy yummy in my tummy :):):):):):)
