I HAVE TO SAY THAT I WAS SCEPTICAL ABOUT THIS AS IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, BUT I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR OVER 4 MONTHS NOW AND SAVED LOADS OF MONEY, IT REALLY IS QUITE AN AMAZING DEAL. ALTHOUGH COULD PROBABLY DO WITH MORE RESTAURANTS IN GREENWICH (WHERE I LIVE!)

We're coming to the UK on a months vacation from Canada in the spring, the card seems to be a great thing to have while in London.
I've just bought one and am awaiting delivery in the post. I can't wait to start using it when we're there...
going out to eat is so £££ that any little bit helps.
The person (Matt) I contacted to ask questions to couldn't have been more helpful...it made my decision to get the card even easier!
Having the directory is going to be nice as well...we're always looking for new restaurants/pubs to try.

I've noticed that The Empress of India is now on with tastelondon. Good job really as it's about £40 per head and 2-4-1 softens the blow a bit.
The question is - when does a gastro pub stop being a gastro pub and become a fine dining restaurant? I don't think that at these prices The Empress could be classed as a gastro pub.

My mate has got one of these and here's a tip - the restaurant's we've been to haven't checked his name on the card, so I've borrowed it 3 times and saved 50% each time. Nice - saved about £100.

Went to Pumphouse in Hornsey with 5 of my friends using my tastelondon card. The reason I bought the card is because its my local and there are no offers for this place on top table or anywhere else.
So 6 of us ate. We got drunk and were merry. The bill came and we had saved over £70 on the food (admittedly we made up for it in drinks, but who cares?!!!).
All I can say is fantastic. The guys in this restaurant have got it spot on and we saved the cover price of the card in our first sitting. Splendid!!!!

My Boyfriend bought me a taste london membership for my birthday and it's fab! Try Indian Zing in Hammersmith, the best Indian food i've taste in a long time - and they treat us like Royalty because we were taste london members!

Well, I've used the card loads of times and no probs - and also at the Rivington Grill, where a group of 4 of us ate with 50% off. Thought I'd keep receipts to see if I saved the cover price of the card - within first 2 months had saved over £200.
Some of the restaurants do get shirty if you don't mention the card when you ask for the bill, but I suppose if they have to go re-calculate then it can be annoying. If you tell them in advance and give them the card then, in my experience, there'll be no problems.
    So cheer up Cathie.
    xx

Used card last night for firdt time at Rivington in Greenwich. Booked by phone mentioning Tastelondon - ditto when I arrived, however received full bill till I Alerted them AGAIn, then they told me they had chenged from 50% to 241. Luckily I had the book with me with 50% printed on their offer, so got proper price in the end. However, very disappointing that venues are not alert to Tastelondon members despite being told twice, and that they can apparently change their offer unilaterally with the customers not being informed. NOT a good start!

I ring the Fri/Sat excluded restaurants & book as they still let you use the card. Not been knocked back yet - I reckon restaurants are just happy to get people through the door
