  • Best deaths in ‘EastEnders’
    Reg Cox
Beaten to death in the opening episode by lovable scamp Nick Cotton. Nasty Nick later stabbed barman Eddie Royle and attempted to poison his mother, Dot.

    Den Watts
Shot by daffodils, Dirty Den fell into the canal, presumed dead, returning nearly 15 years later only to get banged on the head by a dog-shaped doorstop and buried in the cellar of the Queen Vic.That should do it. Feature continues

    Arthur Fowler

Incarcerated on false charges, Arfur was injured in a prison riot just before his release, collapsing on his beloved allotment the following day. Lives on in the shape of a bench.

    Tiffany Mitchell
Run over by Frank Butcher after a ruck with Grant, who had just slept with her mother Louise. Other bad ‘Enders’ drivers include Frank’s wife Pat, who killed teenager Stephanie Watson, and Martin Fowler, who killed Jamie Mitchell, boyfriend of Sonia Jackson, with whom Martin had a child after a one-night-stand and then married, only to divorce after Sonia had a lesbian affair, causing Martin to gain custody of their child, whose adoptive parents had died in… a car crash. Oh, and Roly the poodle was killed by a lorry.

    Homeless child
Found dead in the car lot, torched by Phil Mitchell in a brainless insurance scam. Later, Phil’s brother, Grant, almost fried their mutual squeeze Sharon when he tried to burn down the Vic, while Sharon’s new boyfriend, Tom the fireman, died in a fire while rescuing Little Mo from rapist husband Trevor, whom Little Mo had almost brained with an iron (which is also hot).

    Ethel Skinner
Mercy-murdered by Dot while suffering from brain cancer. Go, Dot, go!

    Barry Evans
Pushed down a mountain by Janine Butcher, who was later falsely imprisoned for the murder of Laura Beale.

    Ashley Cotton
Nick’s son, killed after he stole Mark Fowler’s motorbike and drove it through the window of Dot’s launderette. Stupid boy.
