    Miss: 'Mayo'

    Misses
    Blunder C4
An exercise in how not to make a sketch show. A hugely talented cast coupled with half decent ideas could have been a winner… Instead, thanks to some unimaginative direction, ‘Blunder’ has been a complete shambles.

    Bride And Grooming Five
One of the most loathsome reality concepts of this year, this Five series saw engaged couples separated and given plastic surgery before the big day. And it was British. Terrifying. Feature continues

    Celebrity Tudor Wedding Five
A bizarre idea from the outset – Jenny Eclair, Lowri Turner and chef Kevin Woodford were given the challenge of helping a couple make their Tudor wedding dream come true – but there was no fun in watching a bride made to look really ugly on her big day.

    Miss: 'The Charlotte Church Show'

    The Charlotte Church Show C4
This hotchpotch of ideas hasn’t done the girl Church any favours and oh, those cringe-worthy attempts at getting the celebrity guests to read out jokes… Surely no one will agree to join her for series two?

    Davina BBC1
McCall’s interview style proved to be about as probing as Dani Behr’s in this inane chat show flop. Also didn’t help that most of the guests were plugging rubbish BBC shows.

    It’s Now Or Never ITV1
Hilariously misconceived dog’s breakfast of a show in which people were encouraged to communicate messages of love to their nearest and dearest using song and dance routines. It was jettisoned after one episode but its very existence should indicate to Michael Grade that he has a big job on his hands.

    Mayo BBC1
Alistair McGowan starred in this truly dreadful detective series. It looked terrible, it sounded terrible, it was… Terrible.
