22 The Queen’s House
England’s first purely classical building, this royal residence was designed in 1616 by Inigo Jones as a pad for Anne of Denmark, the queen of James I. Make sure you pick up an architectural guide (free at the front desk, or 50p if you want to take it home with you). In one grandiose but empty room you’ll meet three Admirals (Adam Duncan, Richard Howe and John Jervis) and one Vice Admiral (Nelson). These incarnations were made by Sir Francis Chantrey in 1809, but how much, in guineas, did the four busts cost (you’ll need to add the prices together)?

23 The Royal Observatory
If you’re in Greenwich, the Observatory is a must. We could pose a question here about James Wolfe – the gent on the statue at the top of the hill enjoying one of the best views across London – but since he’s much-photographed, we’ll delve a little deeper inside the Observatory itself. Somewhere among the time-related exhibits, there’s a device that was used to check on the timekeeping of London’s bus drivers in the 1920s. But it’s not doing a great job now; the hands have stopped at 11 minutes past which hour?
Answer
24 The church
Walk back down the hill, heading back to the village and the main road leading down to the Cutty Sark. There’s been a church on the same site here since the eleventh century, at the place where the then-Archbishop of Canterbury was murdered by Vikings. It collapsed in a storm in 1710, and was bombed in WWII, but still survives. The narrow path along its southern edge, flanked by ten worn-away gravestones in a neat row, shares the name of the unfortunate Archbishop. What’s the full street name? Answer

a while! We did it in teams and it took us the weekend. such good fun!
I think it could all be done over a weekend (Sat and Sun) if you don't hang about and start early each day. Combine it with a river cruise to Greenwich - I went there by bus, but it took forever.
We are hoping to use the traesure hunt shortly but would like some idea of how long the sections (and/or the whole thing) would take? Any experienced hunters out there know?
Lexy, I gave you one of the answers you were looking for - when are you going to send me the one I need?
