There does not seem to be a lot of displays in south london mitcham eg doesnt seem to hold any? used to hold one at Ravensbury Park Morden Road but that has not been on for quite a few years. idiots at Merton Council say the ground is sinking building work ongoing, they cannot organise a booze up in a brewery. All they do is say shops should not sell fireworks and children letting fireworks off in the streets and frightening old peop;e and animals. Our local MP Siobhan McDonagh has supported me faithfully. I know times are hard and we are all feeling the pinch, so make the displays a reasonable price and put on good entertainment and people will enjoy themselves and attend. Did Tooting Bec Common hold their display i did not see it advertised? i attended last year was really good.i

It's true- there are no official fireworks on Primrose Hill....not since 2001.
There have been, however, unofficial ones which I have been to there......including this eve I hope!

    bl**dy bureaucracy
Camden Council no longer holds a public display in November on Primrose Hill. The Police have requested that the public are reminded that it is against Royal Park regulations to set off fireworks and they will be on Primrose Hill to ensure the rules are kept.

Don't forget Danson Park Firework Dsiplay, Danson Park, Bexleyheath, just off the A2. The fireworks look fantastic as they explode above the still lake! Two bangs for the price of one!

The primrose hill fireworks have not been held since 2001 due to 'public safety issues'. Big loss as they were excellent, however this is not the fault of Time Out but some idjits at Camden Council, the sad fact is that there are just more shows in south London - always have been.

anyone know of a fireworks display in north london on the 5th nov

  14. Posted by Steveo on 31 Oct 2008 09:10

Totally agree with Dino, surely there's something going on in North London? Primrose hill or Alexandra palace usually has something on. Timeout's getting sloppy.
