Berwick Street, not far from the Time Out office, is like a ‘High Fidelity’ theme park, with a plethora of new and used record stores covering every genre from NWOBHM to spunk jazz. Sounds Of The Universe and Music And Video Exchange are favourites. I can spend hours in search of hidden gems, or at least LPs with cool covers.

One of the few remaining proper boozers left in Soho. The John Snow is defiantly un-remodelled and wouldn’t know the meaning of the word ‘gastro’.
