I think that the shrine to Jean Charles De Menezes should contain ONLY kind material about HIM.
I have been past the memorial a number of times and can only focus on the nasty things people have posted up on it.
People may not like to hear it, but the police officers who shot Jean Charles were once completely innocent people as well, as was the commissioner, and commander Cressida DIck.
Would anybody REALLY feel insulted if I was to remove the anti-police material - which, as it happens - makes Jean Charles (to me at least) look like a crusader against the police?
I don't live in close proximity to the memorial, so could people please do me (and Jean Charles' family) the service of not posting up ugly material, or taking down whatever makes him look bad?
Perhaps even, conversely, putting up NICE material of the officers involved on the shrine, may make people see the good side of all parties involved in this terrible tragedy.

Have your say
