A new summer festival in Hyde Park, now that Wireless and Hard Rock Calling have moved over to the former Olympic Park. Barclaycard sponsorship means plenty of cash handy for booking big names, and here's one of the biggest: Sir Elton Hercules John, performing with his band at the head of a bill that aims to celebrate British songwriting talent. Also scheduled are Ray Davies and Elvis Costello, as well as less well-known acts both young and old including Nick Lowe, Lucy Rose, Justin Currie, Tift Merrit, To Kill A King, Thea Gilmore, Scott McFarnon and Olivia Sebastianelli.
