This year, the Southbank Centre's annual Chorus Festival celebrates singing for social change. Events, many of which are free, include workshops and performances such as 'Singalong Oliver!' (Sat 7pm; £15, concs £7.50), with an expected crowd of 2000 joining in a singalong to the film at the Royal Festival Hall, the 'Saturday Warm-Up' (Sat 10.15am; free), a vocal warm-up led by Voicelab's Mary King, 'The Choral Platform' (Sat-Mon various times; free) with choirs responding to the theme of singing for social change, 'A Candle' (Sun 3.30pm; free), a performance by five choirs and readings of texts by international poets, 'Family Workshop with IGospel' (Mon 2.30pm; free, followed by a performance at 4pm), 'Inner Voices' Spem in Alium' (Mon 4.30pm & 5.15pm; free) featuring a choir drawn from inner-London secondary schools.
