Putting a padlock on the front of your tent is like sticking a big sign up that says "Valuables inside" and is not going to stop a theif when all the need to get into a tent is a sharp knife. If you would be upset about something getting stolen or broken at a festival, dont take it!

Survival blankets decrease the oven like tendancies of the early morning tent when stuck over the top. Travel Johns are also the way forward for the middle of the night!
Fold up frisbee?! At Glasto this year you were lucky to have room to pitch your tent. Space to throw a frisbee, I think not!

Stop worrying about what to take to a festival, your there to have fun and if you have forgot something, there is always somewhere on site to buy it.

Don't know what Susan Smith is talking about One Stop festival were great when i used them , I purchased on of their Festival kits last year and it arrived next day and the tent , sleeping bags and chairs were all good quality. I will be using them again this year for certain.

My favourite item at at a festival is a poncho. Great for rain showers and keeping everything dry, and also for a nice place to sit on during sunshine. Also I like Borocca - keeping hydrated and full of vitamins will let you party harder, plus make you feel alot better in the morning. :)
Oh, and had a bad experience with onestopfestival - so be wary!

    Hi everyone
I have spent most of the weekend planning my festival tours. I have also managed to order what I believe to be the ultimate in festival must haves. Check out a website www.wondawedge.co.uk, I couldn't believe it when I first saw it. This chair thing will mean that I can just sit back in comfort whilst listening to my favourite bands, bring on the summer!!!

definitely NOT any kind of lock to put on your tent - all that does is make it look like you've got something in there worth stealing! Rather than trying to secure your tent (impossible!) carry any valuables on your person or leave them at home.
Totally agree with Chris - baby wipes. bottle opener and immodium are essential as is something waterproof to sit on, I took a cheapy plastic beach mat to Leeds this year and all the peeps sat in the mud on bin bags were green-eyed!

www.onestopfestival.com do some great festival kits which include tents, sleeping bags, chairs , airbeds , lights and a whole load of other stuff. Their Travel johns which are a bag you can pee in that turns to a gel are fantastic.

If you are a wine drinker like myself!? I like to take a few boxes with me, after consumtion, the bag that the wine is held in can be blown up and used as a pillow! Save money and its eco friendly!

    Hey
Other festivals packing essentials have to be toothbrush, pen knife, BOTTLE OPENER, anti-bacterial wipes for the washing issue and to avoid making a bad loo situation worse some imodium...
