Anyone worth their Brick Lane plimsolls will be heading to Vicky Park to dance their drainpipes off this Saturday at Field Day. But you don't have to worry about being left wide-eyed when the plug is pulled from the soundsystem, as there is a whole raft of after parties, official and otherwise, to choose from.
Some of the shiniest stars will be at the Field Day Official After Party 1 at the sparkling Cable in SE1. Synth-queen du jour Little Boots takes to the decks at London's newest party tunnel alongside electro-indie emperor Erol Akan, whose Disco 3000 set is bound to come fully loaded from the Bugged Out! tent.
For revellers heading south, the Field Day Official After Party 2 at the Amersham Arms provides ample beats-led reasons to pursue the party. Alongside locals No Pain In Pop DJs, Rusko is jetting in to deliver the jump-up beats he's known for and dubstep dynamo Joy Orbison will show exactly why the synthtastic gem of a track 'Hyph Mango' has gone so stellar.
As Peanut Butter Jelly Time are hosting the VIP area at the main event they're bound to bring along some of the party dust to their unofficial sequel (Cargo). The Ragga Twins will blast out their blend of hip hop, reggae and jungle and you can expect mashed-up tribal hip hop from the fantastically undead Zombie Disco Squad.
The crew from Deep Down have descended to a gallery in Hackney Wick for their very own part deux to the Day of Field. Deep Down... in Hackney features Kitsuné's Joe and Will Ask? and star of the Kash Point Bishi as well as Klaxons remixers Tapedeck. After all that, you'd best buy yourself a new pair of plimsolls.
