Time Out says

Hilariously inept even by Hollywood biopic standards, this preposterous farrago has Wilde's Chopin, a Polish freedom fighter against the Czarist oppressor, forgetting his patriotic principles in the heady wine of Paris, success and Georges Sand's possessive arms, but coming to himself in time to cough out his life's blood on a grand concert tour for the cause. Amazingly stilted kitsch, packed with unspeakable dialogue.

song to remember introduced me to the wonderful music of chopin. for that, i am grateful. As a movie it left a lot to be desired but as a vehicle for chopin it was wdonerful. I have seen it many times.
