Time Out says

One of the finest screwball comedies ever, with Grant - a dry, nervous, conventional palaeontologist - meeting up with madcap socialite Hepburn and undergoing the destruction of his career, marriage, sanity and sexual identity. The catalyst in the process is Baby, a leopard that causes chaos wherever he goes, and finally awakens Grant to the attractions of irreponsible insanity. Fast, furious and very, very funny.

I too hated Heburn in this and every minute of the film I pitied Cary Grant for having to put up with her. I was glad when the movie was finally over. I don't know how critics loved this. You can't have a great movie with such as disastrous female lead performance. Her small screechy voice made me want to slap her every time she uttered a word.

Yes, this is a best sample of screwball comedy, yet I didn't like this movie, and didn't laugh once; mainly because I hated Katherine's Hepburn character from the moment she opened her mouth. She looks great, but she has a grating voice that drove me crazy. Katherine's Heburn character BRINGING UP BABY should enter film history as THE MOST UNLIKABABLE FEMALE LEAD IN A COMEDY EVER MADE.
