Time Out says

The George Abbott and Philip Dunning play (first filmed by Paul Fejos in 1929) reshaped as a vehicle for Raft who, playing himself, recalls his days as a nightclub dancer and his association with Prohibition racketeers. He gets to tango and to tangle with a tough gangster (Crawford) over his girl. But studded with songs and all a bit hackneyed, it's more a curiosity than anything else.
