Time Out says

An attempt to come to grips with repressed adolescent sexuality in backwoods Georgia by way of the touching relationship that develops between the high school's clean-cut good-looker and the dumb ugly duckling who gets used for the boys' gang bangs. The handling of the aggression that inevitably disrupts the idyllic affair is adequate, but the film falls down over its attempts to give credibility to the central relationship. Meticulous period (1948) detail.

  • I saw this movie when it first came out and it was really good. Good enough that I still think of it today. I wish I could find a copy of it. I have looked everywhere. If someone knows where to get a copy please let me know. Thanks
