Time Out says
An amiable melodrama in which two World War I spies (witty Leigh, icy Veidt) fall for each other in high society Stockholm (treated by the movie as some Nordic Casablanca!). The film ultimately bears the stamp of its director less than of its producer (Korda) and studio, and a certain blandness pervades. Fascinating, though, for the date it was made and its appropriately confused sympathies (pacifist? militarist? continental? British? - hard to say).Author: CA
