Catch a glimpse of the stars at one of these film premieres

There are several major film premieres taking place in London's West End between now and Christmas, including ‘My Week with Marilyn’ and ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’. Here’s your guide to catching a glimpse of the likes of Tom Cruise, Antonio Banderas, Simon Pegg and Robin Williams. But, please – don’t scream too loudly if you get too close to His Royal Cruiseness

  • Hugo

Mon Nov 28, 5.30pm, Odeon Leicester Square

There’s a fistful of big premieres this month but it’s Martin Scorsese’s first family film (in 3D no less) that pips the others to the coveted Royal Film Performance slot. The confirmed list of attendees includes the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, director Scorsese, Sir Ben Kinglsey, Asa Butterfield, Frances de la Tour, Richard Griffiths, Ray Winstone and Chloe Moretz.

  • Puss in Boots

Thu Nov 24, 5.45pm, Empire Leicester Square

The dapper moggie in ‘Shrek’ gets to strut his animated stuff in what is likely to be one of the bigger hits of the festive season. Still on voice duties, 'Zorro' star Antonio Banderas is expected to make an appearance, possibly with co-star Salma Hayek and others.

  • Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Thu Dec 8, 6.30pm, Empire Leicester Square

Guy Ritchie follows up 2009's rollicking sleuth thriller. Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Guy Ritchie, Noomi Rapace and Jared Harris are all expected to attend, along with ‘a very strong celeb invite list’ – so a little bird tells us.

  • Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Tue Dec 13, around 5.45pm, Leicester Square (cinema TBC)

Here’s hoping Mr Cruise – the consummate premiere guest – will make an appearance for this fourth installment of the mega-bucks spy series. In case he does, don’t forget your camera and phone: the Hollywood megastar has a habit of grinning next to his fans and leaving wacky messages on their devices. Should be a right lark, even more so if co-star Simon Pegg joins in the fun.
