Time Out says
This buddy-buddy action movie begins promisingly with a South American drug baron Patrick Stewart attending his wife's funeral. 'Do you think I'm over-reacting?' he asks coolly, as the gravediggers shovel on the dirt, slowly muffling the poor woman's screams. He sends right-hand man Leary to find a cache of stolen loot, putting him on collision course with charming adventurer Lambert and US special agent Van Peebles, unlikely allies, each of whom knows half of the treasure's location. Sarafian is an unpretentious, easy-to-please director, with an eye for quirky character detail and a dab hand at the macho stuff. Leary makes a good fist of the heavy, but the movie's real subject is the elaborate bonding rituals of the hunks.Author: TCh
