Time Out says

Paul Muni, the Hollywood '30s favourite in heavyweight social-conscience roles, reteamed with his I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang director for a rare crack at a comedy in this Warners newspaper frolic, rather uncertainly pepped up with a gangster angle. Refusing to condemn an apparently embezzling banker, Brad (Muni) is demoted from managing editor of the Times-Star to the latest incumbent of the 'Nellie Nelson' agony column, a task he resents at first, before falling on a clue that might help clear his reputation. The title's a reference to the sardonic teasing he repeatedly receives from fellow journos. The studio had conveyed newspaper life with more veracity and punch three years earlier in Five Star Final.
