Time Out says

Misfired psychological thriller revolving around Agutter's schoolgirl fantasies about her older foster brother and a series of local murders, and evoking unproductive associations with such precursors as The Fallen Idol. A disappointment to admirers of The Shuttered Room and The Strange Affair, with which Greene appeared to be establishing himself in the feature market, and a prompt to his resumption of prolific TV work (previously in Britain, Canada and the States, subsequently with such heavyweights as Rich Man, Poor Man and Roots) from which he has sporadically emerged for such impersonal chores as Godspell or Gray Lady Down.
