Time Out says
Who killed Kurt Cobain? That's the mystery at the root of this funny, angry, provocative film. Nick Broomfield visits the scene of the crime, sleuths around the rock star's old stomping grounds in Seattle and Portland, questioning ex-girlfriends, family and hangers-on. At the heart of it all is the femme fatale, the vamp, the 'ambitious psycho queen', Courtney Love. Broomfield is intuitive, opportunistic and upfront. 'I didn't have an angle or a theory, I was just trying to find my way through it,' he claims. He casts himself as the hero, and does achieve a moment of bluff courage, berating the American Civil Liberties Union for their star-struck hypocrisy in Love's presence.
