Twin sisters Delphine and Solange teach dance and music in the port town of Rochefort. When Etienne and Bill lose their girlfriends to sailors from the local naval base, they make a beeline for the sisters. Meanwhile, visiting American composer Andy falls head over heels for Solange, and navy artist Maxence drifts into the cafe run by the sisters' mother Yvonne with a painting of his perfect woman.
