Widely regarded as Monroe’s finest film, this gender-bending classic teamed the blonde bombshell with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon for two hours of comedy gold. Her Little-Miss-Innocent act worked perfectly for the role of Sugar, the singer unwittingly harbouring two dragged-up fellas in her band, while misunderstanding-blighted romances brought further humour and heart. She wanted to be loved by you, and in this film, she certainly was.
