The ‘Meet the Parents’ crew are back for a third sniff at the trough – and this time the odour is stale. At least the first two films had clear agendas: first, in ‘Meet the Parents’, put-upon Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) had to win over his girlfriend’s father, Jack Byrnes (Robert DeNiro), an ex-CIA hard man, and then in ‘Meet the Fockers’ he had to introduce Jack to his liberal, Jewish parents (Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand). Now all we need is any old excuse – the approaching Fockers’ kids’ fifth birthday party – to bring everyone back together, including Kevin (Owen Wilson), a hippy ex-banker and old flame of Greg’s wife, and watch as damp indoor fireworks limply explode in various directions. Again, the main conflict is between Greg and Jack, but it’s a tired old battle. We’ve seen Jack’s eccentric nighttime trails before, just as we’ve seen Greg accidentally getting himself into hot water with his father-in-law (here over a mistaken case of adultery with a colleague at work). Hoffman and Streisand take a back seat, but they shouldn’t have bothered at all as the film can barely find anything for them to do, bar Hoffman trying to mine comedy from his character’s newfound love of flamenco. Worst of all, one of the main gags is poor self-parody as Jack adopts mafia stylings as he tries to nominate his ‘successor’, the ‘God Focker’. Very weak.

i thought this film was really funny, i loved the 1st 2 films and though this 1 might not be as good, BUT to my surprise it was! i really enjoyed it, am happy 2 recommend this film : )

TRUTHTELLER.

Would someone tell Ben Stiller that his dad is the funny one in the family. What a load of rubbish.

Is it any wonder that Hollywood is having it's worst year in a decade? This film should be burned. Comedy? I don't think so, they usually have laughs. Sometimes a comedy with just a few laughs will work if it's interesting but this is just boring. Why do they keep putting DenNiro in what they think are comedies? Why was this film released? Why won't Owen Wilson just GO AWAY!! Also, no way is this a PG12. It should be PG15. The British Board of Film Censors should be replaced with three monkies and a chicken.

Anybody who finds this movie funny has clearly no understanding of cinema whatsover, and probaly laughs at movies with scenes of somebody falling of a chair or geting a cake in the face....what I dont understand is why actors stoop so low to take these roles...Robert...c´mon you used to be my idle. Anyway my fault for watching..part III is never good unless it was meant from the start such as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. Even back to future part III was better and that movies was BAD

I agree 100% with ConnyDom, this film is literally a waste of time and effort for everyone involved.

Im not a prude, but i think the title is a little bit rude. Especially when children will be watching it. They could have called it Meet the Parents Little Fishers. I think this would be alot more appropriate, im glad i got that of my chest. P.S its probably better than The one Ronnie show.

This film is awful and embarrassing! Not in the slightest bit even amusing and not appropriate to sit through with my eleven year old daughter! The film is based around sexual enhancement medication and should be rated 15! Disgraceful, adultery, fighting, explicit behavior, avoid like the plague!!!!

Id say it was a slight improvement on 2, but none of them deserve more....or less.... than a 3 star rating. 6/10
