Time Out says

This very flash, very knowing, vastly entertaining French thriller is so ironic it almost ends back at innocence. Poupaud is a naive small time con artist who gets in way over his head when he puts together a drugs deal with the reptilian Ecoffey and his independent-minded protégée, Bohringer. Graham Guit, director and co-writer, has fun and games with a Tarantino-esque chronology, a joyous kitsch soundtrack, and a novice's delight in the mechanics of the genre: he tears it apart, reassembles it, then hides the spare parts behind a ready wit. Bright stuff.
