Time Out says

The title says it all. This loose sequel to 2008’s original continues Bollywood’s ongoing obsession with gags featuring grown men urinating. In this latest instance, the director himself makes a cameo in order to join actors relieving themselves, spraying and sprinkling golden showers in a sequence that has no contribution to the inane script. The film opens with two talking cows commenting on the ways of humans. We then cut to a saucy song introducing Raftaar Singh (Akshay Kumar) and his stereotypically irritating and over-protective Punjabi parents. Raftaar is a wastrel. His dad decides to send him to Goa in order to work. There he meets English-only speaking Sara (Amy Jackson) who calls him a ‘moron’ (you’ll get no argument here).

Since Raftaar only speaks Punjabi-Hindi, he interprets the insult as a compliment and falls in love! The hiring of an interpreter (Lara Dutta) only complicates matters. What is meant to be a series of slapstick misunderstandings to make you laugh succeeds in making you cringe with embarrassment. Yet again, we have a slipshod masala potboiler intent on revelling in crudeness, especially in its depiction of women. Plump young girls are to be ‘wrestled with’, not married. Former Miss Liverpool, Brit Amy Jackson, already a successful star in Tamil cinema, is reduced to lap-dancing. What’s funny, and not in a humorous way, is the ageist casting of a 54-year-old established actress as the doting mom of the ageing lead man who is almost 50.
